SSE Super Series - Tournament Rules

• The normal cricket rules will apply as per ICC/MCC regulations
• Games will be T20 format
• Bowlers may bowl a maximum of 4 overs per innings (5 bowlers bowling a maximum of 4 overs each).
• A team will consist of 13 players. However, only 11 players are allowed on the field for the team bowling at any time. Either team can make one change to either bring in a batsmen or bowler during the match. The change can only happen at the break of an innings. Thus, a bowler can be added or a batsmen can be added. 11 players to bat.
• Whenever a player leaves the field of play, he/she can only be off the field for 8-minutes. If a player is off the field for longer than 8-minutes, they will have to be on the field for the full duration of time that they have spent off the field, before they will be allowed to bowl again.
• Team sheets to be handed to the umpires at the coin toss.
• Free hits will apply.
• The morning matches will start at 09h00 and must be completed by 12h00. Afternoon matches to start at 13h00 and must be completed by 16h00.
• No teams will be allowed to warm up on the field while the first match is still busy. Warm up can commence anywhere away from a game in progress. Players must be at the field at least 45 minutes before the start of play.
• The power play will be the first 6 overs of the innings where only 2 fielders are allowed outside the circle. After 6 overs have been completed, 5 players may be outside the circle.
• The fielding team must bowl their 20 overs in 80 minutes. (4 minutes an over). Overs not bowled at the end of the 80 minutes will result in the bowling team only having 4 players outside the circle for the remainder of the innings.
• Accommodations will be made for balls that are missing, injuries etc. but it is solely at the discretion of the two umpires if a team will be penalized or not for a slow over rate.
• Overs may be deducted in the case of rain or other delays that are not within the control of the players or umpires. The umpires will adjust the overs accordingly where needed. If a game cannot be completed, the match will be drawn, and the points are shared.
• Points allocation:
2 points for a win
0 points for a loss
1 point for a draw
• Any player that contravenes the players conduct could be disciplined by the disciplinary committee.
